Sri Lanka is currently undergoing a massive overhaul of its water distribution network through the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB). Spiral welded steel pipes are the preferred choice for large-diameter water mains because of their ability to handle high internal pressures and external soil loads. In the dry zones of the North Central Province, our SSAW pipes facilitate long-distance irrigation, ensuring agricultural sustainability.
With the expansion of the Colombo and Hambantota ports, the demand for high-strength steel piling has skyrocketed. Spiral welded pipes are exceptionally effective as foundation piles for piers, wharves, and bridges. Their uniform wall thickness and structural rigidity make them ideal for deep-sea anchoring in the challenging seabed conditions of the Laccadive Sea.
The Sri Lankan steel market is shifting toward sustainability and localization. While large infrastructure projects often require imported high-grade steel, there is a growing trend of "Precision Manufacturing" where pipes are customized for specific local terrains. Another significant trend is the adoption of advanced anti-corrosion coatings (such as 3PE or Fusion Bonded Epoxy) which are now mandatory for coastal projects to ensure a service life of over 50 years.
Digitalization in the supply chain is also taking root. Large-scale contractors in Sri Lanka are now seeking manufacturers who provide real-time tracking and digital quality certifications, ensuring that every ton of steel delivered to the site is fully traceable to its heat number and raw material source.
Our production facilities cover over 66,700 square meters factory, and have more than 300 employees and eight High Frequency welded lines. Each line has a complete set of equipment to accomplish at least five production steps. All of this gives us a monthly output of 100,000 tons, half of which is exported. These facilities also include a molding workshop complete with 20 R&D engineers possessing over 10 years’ experience.
