The Cold Rolled Steel Manufacturing Process is a sophisticated engineering method that transforms hot-rolled steel into high-precision, smooth-finished sheets and coils. Unlike hot rolling, which occurs at temperatures above the recrystallization point, cold rolling is performed at room temperature. This process significantly increases the strength of the metal through strain hardening, while allowing for extremely tight dimensional tolerances.
Our factory utilizes state-of-the-art continuous cold rolling mills. The process begins with "pickling," where hot-rolled coils are cleaned of scale in an acid bath. Following this, the steel is passed through rollers to reduce thickness. To restore ductility, the steel undergoes annealing—a heat treatment process—before a final "skin-pass" roll to ensure a perfect surface finish.
