Unlike hot-dip galvanizing, which submerges cold-rolled steel in molten zinc, the Electro-Galvanizing (EG) process uses electrodeposition to apply a uniform, highly controlled zinc coating layer at a microscopic scale. This yields an exceptionally smooth, uniform surface that is completely free of the spangles or coating thickness variations associated with hot-dip processes.
